No Reason Reception (FAQ’s)

Why are we having a No Reason Reception (NRR)?

There was a time before kids/work/life/getting old that many of us would meet up on a regular basis and would attend numerous weddings.  Some of us are so busy that we don’t get a chance to get a night out or party it up with friends.

The No Reason Reception takes care of this.  It gives everyone a chance to meet up and take advantage of all the fun parts of a wedding without the boring formal crap.  

This is going to be a formal event (suits/dresses).  The more formal this event is…the funnier it will be.  Picture a random person asking you that night why you are dressed up and where are you heading and you get to tell them you are going to an event for absolutely no reason.  Asking a babysitter to watch your kids or asking a date to this event for absolutely no reason will be interesting as well.

$90 / night.  This is a discounted rate for our event.  Ask for the “No Reason Reception” Rate.

How much does the event cost?

$55 per person

What will the $55 cover?

This will cover food (apps/buffet/desserts), room fee, cash bar, and music/dancing for 5 hours.

I am single…can I bring a date?

Yes, if you are single and get an invite you can bring a date to the event.  It will be a great ice breaker to ask someone to come with you to a reception for absolutely no reason.

What are we having for food at the reception?

Will there be music and dancing?

Yes, there will be music and dancing for the entire 5 hours.

How should I dress for the event?

This is a FORMAL event.  The more FORMAL the better.  Men should wear suits and women should wear formal dresses similar to a wedding event.  It makes the No Reason Reception concept even funnier the more formal we make it.

The Holiday Inn…really?

Yes, it will be at a Holiday Inn but I promise it is pretty nice for a price that everyone can afford since I know a lot of people will be traveling and staying over.

They recently renovated this Holiday Inn so the rooms are brand new.  Also the ballroom that we’ll have the event in is pretty crazy…they have a ship in the middle with a bar.
